Experience
I completed an internship at the BMW Group + QUT Design Academy and was mentored by BMW associates.
The primary tasks I was given during this internship was to learn the design process and workflow of creating, UV mapping, texturing, rendering, and implementing 3D assets.
Some key skills I learned during this internship included the rapid adaptation of unfamiliar software and programs, polygonal modelling techniques to achieve the desired assets, high quality rendering techniques, and an understanding of realistic 3D model texturing. I was able to create and publish a report on applying some texturing skills I learned during this internship which can be found on the academy website.
Although this project was completed individually, I was constantly communicating and collaborating with other interns at the academy to tackle problems we encountered and share our knowledge to reduce the learning curve of new programs.
The programs used to create, texture, render, and present these assets consisted of Blender, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine.
